Courier Delivery Management System for Standard Chartered Bank
The Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) with its huge operation in Bangladesh, deliver thousands of Accounts statements, Credit Cards and other statements and deliverables to the valued Clients through Courier Services. The concern section of Head Office has to handle with different types of deliverables with several (3-4 in numbers) Courier Services. At present there is software handling the Cheque Book, TIN, Card and Accounts Statement. The said system does not covering all the deliverable items, also its a desktop based application so, transaction, reconciliation and update of information for all stack holders like branch, concern section, courier services etc. are becoming time consuming and laborious. Most importantly to ensure the prompt delivery updates the information instantly for reconciliation and accounts purposes the authority of SCB has decided to develop an web base application to automate the delivery system. The system will also be integrated with SMS based mobile application to ensure the instant information transaction. Tracking of the statement is initiative from SCB to follow the directives of Bangladesh Bank under the program “Know your customer ( KYC )”. The system is deployed in December 2009.
